Are any baseball players known to have used "ghost signers" for pack issued autographs?

On a few message boards, I've read stories from people supposedly "in the know", that tell of unnamed pro athletes inviting friends and family over to help sign stacks of baseball cards or sheets of sticker autos, then shipping the items back to the card company for release in packs.

On a similar note, I've read so-called autograph experts say that they've seen pack issued autos that are not authentic, are auto-pinned, etc.


So, if this is really happening, then who are the players who are doing this?

Johnny Cueto with some of his 2008 rookie autos and Ricky Romero with some of his 2005 USA rookie autos. They often look like 2 or 3 different people signed them.
