It's reported that the Rays have sold 1b/of Brandon Allen to Japan. Brandon Allen was a prospect once upon a time, but who cares.
It just seems weird to have the rights to one's professional career sold overseas to another country. Do they need to get a player's permission to do this sort of thing, or is that just part of the game?
Kinda reminds me of this prank from a few years back, when the Phillies pranked rookie Kyle Kendrick...
