Ever set out to collect a certain series only to call it quits before finishing?

Of course it happened to me.
I actually have a few.
I`ll start first;
PCGS Slabbed Washington Quartes 1932-1964
Was about 8 to 11 coins short(can`t remember
) and lost interest and sold all but my 32-D and 32-S.
I still have a few complete sets of raw coins in albums but it was the slabbed set I gave up on.
I`ll add more sets later on...

Morgan Dollars certified DMPL.
Turns out #1 is impossible to complete and I couldn't afford #2.
prevents me from the subseries of matte proof lincolns...pretty much only needed the 16 and 09 vdb in match grade 64rb with high eye appeal
i'll try again after i find a 09 vdb prancing as a buisness...other then that...i'll keep my mind and just acquire one nice example in more of a type set inclusion...
<< <i>Seated Liberty Halves all I will is Carson City
and maybe a Peace Dollar Everyman`s Set?
I did give up on the Morgan Everyman set though a couple of the keys where worth more than the rest of the set.
Lance.
complete through Lincoln. When they stopped producing them in bulk
and offering free shipping on bulk, it tired quickly. I had fun learning to grade them
and submitting them and making my set. Had to buy a few here and there as some
were quite scarce in FS 66 or better. Oh, well.

PS: took a big loss and I mean a BIG loss.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I had completed about half of my colonial type set (all with traceable provenances) when I decided to sell my collection.
Prior to that, I began a collecton of Lincoln Cents by buying the keys first, then the semi-keys. Once I owned them, I lost interest in the rest of the series.
