I'm not sure what the bigger problem is: the bidders going that high on a coin that clearly looks like a copy (stamped or not), or the seller not disclosing that the coin is a copy.
I thought eBay banished sales of all replica coins. Should this transaction actually consummate, it is easy grounds for a SNAD claim. The seller made no proactive effort to describe it as a copy.
<< <i>. i have started my ebay black list and will check the sellers from time to time and will apply pressure to ebay if sellers KEEP listings counterfeits

I'll be happy to help with that project. You keep the score and I'll send messages whenever you shoot me a PM.

There are just so many things wrong here. A coin stamped "copy" doesn't belong among the legit listings in that category obviously. However, did any bidders actually read the listing or view the pic?? Really?????
and there are people who want to protect these buyers from themselves.... you cant protect people from themselves. the responsibility to at least LOOK at the picture should be that of the buyer.
regardless of how many posts I have, I don't consider myself an "expert" at anything
Tis one isn't even funny since what he's selling is one of the slag metal coaster coins that are about 3.5 inches in diameter. See the Ruler in the photo.
Calling it Rare is nothing short of out right lying to potential bidders.
This listing can still be reported using this link.
The same link can be used for the coin in the OP.
Even if the listing closes, eBay can still cancel the transaction as both sellers are lying to potential bidders by calling their items "coins". They are not coins. Ones a replica (ollegal by ebay standards) and the other is a paper weight.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
I mean, someone with enough sophistication as to own and now sell a 1995-W Proof Silver Eagle in PR69DCAM most certainly would not call that paper weight Lincoln a Rare Coin!

I know a couple people on the forums would bid on fakes on purpose just so unknowing buyers couldn't get trapped.
