If you're lucky the seller puts some I'd tag in the listings and you can search "-" that tag. A seller who floods 300 coins at a time used to put "wholesale" in his listings so I searched "Barber Half -wholesale". They dropped wholesale from their listings so I realized every Barber Half had the tag HAB. So I began to search "Barber Half -HAB". Works like a charm.
We're all born MS70. I'm about a Fine 15 right now.
Dogwood's method is easier if you can find a unique word in the seller's title or listing. Otherwise you have to do what CoinJunkie said and create an advanced search to exclude a seller.
There's someone who is listing thousands of low-value Indian cents, and recycling the individual photos dozens of times. I'd do a search by date and I'd have to skip six or seven pages of his listings. I finally had to construct an advanced search to bypass them, and it worked for about two weeks, until his account was kicked off eBay and he came back under a slightly different spelling.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

That method works for an individual "saved" or current search. What about one for all searches. Let me explain: Years ago I was banned by a big seller on Ebay and so I, somehow, put his ID in a "don't search ever" type box. So, when I search now, no matter what the search is, his items do not appear. I don't know how I did that and would like to add several more to that list.
THe OP's question hits the button on the head but it's only temporary or has to be saved in each search query.
Does anyone know how I did my "don't search ever" function?

I don't think you can do the block forever any more one of the changes in system design did away with that ability long ago. Like you I used to use it for Treasuer Hut or something like that back in the day.

Dang, I have search for a way for several hours yesterday and concluded you are correct. Cannot do any longer.

you can also select by price. i usually block off anything under 100 and for sure all the ones under a dollar. Then I click on PCGS coins only! That usually weeds out most of the "weenies"

Yep. Go to Advanced search, Sellers, and there's a pulldown for "Exclude".
