Most Incredible Mercury Dime w/TrueView

Folks, here's a coin that gets better looking each time I see it. I've always liked the year, being the first in the series and all, and the fact that my grandfather, who was an expert numismatist, gave me a raw 1916-S as a kid that I always thought was really cool.

Years ago, I just missed out on a 1916 Merc with full bands that had the most incredible rainbow toning on it. I'd only occasionally even tried to get back in the series, having gotten a few nice ones over the years but ultimately selling them off since none of them really kept my attention. When I found this one I couldn't believe my luck, it reminded me so much of the old Merc I'd just missed out on, and maybe it's even more attractive which I didn't think possible.

This one came in at MS64+FB but to me, with this coin, it's not at all about the grade, it's about how amazing the coin looks. This one is staying in the collection for good. I hope you enjoy it too.

It would look better without all that tarnishing. Surprised it graded that high. It should be a 62 at best with all that stuff blocking the view of the actual coin. The graders must have been wearing

rose colored glasses. You got lucky with that grade to be sure! You might want to sell it and put your money into a high sheen example.

Friend of mine has a 16-d just like that, could be twins. Its also graded PC 64+ CAC. Been trying to buy it for a year now, he wont sell it to me "yet"

Nice. And rather unusual considering most unc 1916 dimes are either dipped or have that drab grey/black orig type toning. You don't usually see
the early dates with this kind of color.
