OT: Fantasy Sports question: Is Tulowitzki coming back?

I'm in striking distance of first place in my league and still have Tulowitzki. I am out of free agent pick ups and might be able to unload him to the guy in last place for his last Free Agent pick up. He is incented to get out of last because we have an apathy rule in which last place pays 5th place $100.

What do I do?

I hope y'all have fun at the National. I think the attention to the event has led some vintage buyers to ignore ebay for a couple days allowing me to get a couple nice 1952 high grade high numbers at a good price.

Note to Board Admin - I tried to sneak in some sports card talk, but you are right in that this is probably more appropriate for the sports talk forum.

And while I am not an Alt, if I were my alt handle would be Vito Bratta.

    LATEST NEWS:
Troy Tulowitzki (groin) hopes to resume hitting soon.

Tulowitzki, who had groin surgery three weeks ago, is hoping to return sometime in August. "I plan on being back. That's what I am working toward," said Tulowitzki. "I know I have to be patient. But everything I am doing is to get back on the field with my team." Jul 20 - 10:06 AM
  • Have him on one of my fantasy teams too and refuse to get rid of him. He supposedly is now taking light BP and fielding. I would keep him. BTW, I also have Arod, Jose Bautista and Big Papi on that same team and have yet to drop or trade any of them.

I have three teams, one has Joey Bats, one has Arod, and one has Kung Fu Panda. Ouch.

I would say its possible, but honestly, with the way Rutledge is playing and the fact that Colorado has been pretty much out of it since day 1 due to lack of pitching, they will be EXTREMELY cautious about bringing him back other than for a token few games. I know Tulowitzki WANTS to come back, but that is a different issue.

My bench is currently Bautista, Tulo, Adam Dunn, and Darwin Barney. I got A Rod starting and locked in until next Monday.

I lead in homers by an easy margin and haven't put Dunn in for weeks because he has killed my average. With A Rod out now I got no choice cuz Barney just takes up space.

I dunno if its fantasy bb or BBCE group rips that are a bigger problem for me these days.

    Here's my transactions for Sunday:

    Add:
    Longoria at $69
Devin Mesoraco $4 (no choice - he's the only uninjured catcher on the waiver wire and i am out of free agents)

    Drop:
    Tulowitzki at $42
    A Rod at $22
    Arencibia $11

    Jah help me.

My guess is that he won't be back. I'm in second place in a hefty money DYNASTY H2H Roto league and just traded HanRam for him, so with my luck, he'll be out until next season. But there is logic for the move. The reason is two-fold. Hanley probably won't get 20 games at SS this year so he'll only be 3B eligible next season. I've already got Wright at 3B, so offing Hanley now makes sense for next season and I'm rolling with Peralta and Rutledge to cover SS until Tulo comes back or the season is over.

I've got Ciriaco and Bloomquist "trying" to cover for Tulo's loss. But neverthelesss, it is a big hit to my team.
