Anyone here win that 1975 cello with Aaron on top last night on eBay?

I won the '75 cello with Reggie on top at what I feel was a very reasonable price. The Aaron pack went for a good bit more than my snipe. That pack is gorgeous, wonderful centering on Hank.

I plan to get the Reggie pack graded, probably the next time PSA has a pack special, along with a bunch of other packs.

    Daniel,

I was watching those 1975 racks, but I am not into setting new price records for them, LOL. I agree that the Jackson probably went for the best price along with the Hernandez although I didn't like the centering on that one. Congrats!!!

it was wonderfully centered, and i set a snipe that wasn't even close as it turned out.

The 75 cellos went for very reasonable prices especially if you send them in to be graded. The Jackson cello would have gone for more if T/B centering were better. The racks went for really strong prices.

I would call them fish eyes. I have seen more than a couple of 75 Aaron cellos for sale over the past year. The one you got was definitley the nicest. Most of the others seemed to have centering issues if I recall correctly.

The Aaron cello is perfectly centered T/B but is somewhat OC L/R,. Should still be within parameters for a PSA 9, however,

<< <i>What I liked best about it was how clean it was. Most of the Aarron's that I have seen (and one that I own) that have a chance to grade a PSA 9, have fish eyes all over them and look like this:

Sorry - I am not up on the grading jargon... please correct me if those are not fish eyes and are called something else. >>

They are called "hickey's" in the printing business. It happens when a small clump of junk or dirt gets on the printing plate. What ever color you do not see in the C M Y K process is what plate the dirt or junk is on. Now they have automatic hickey removers so that is why you do not see them anymore image

I am glad I got my racks in the $250 range. It almost makes me want to put mine up on ebay.........well not really. image

I really like the Rice cello. Decided to keep my funds liquid for the National.
