? on Non Silver coins in Silver proof sets

What are people doing with these?

I have busted many sets out to fill in my Danscos ( Don't ask why- I started so I feel I have to keep going)

I was going to give them to my sons for their press in coin collections

I also see many people selling Lenses and Boxes and COAs on the bay, is there really any value to these? (I have All Mint/ proof sets back to 55- only 60-on broken out))

I would have to think I could be contributing to people making fake sets, but keeping a COA for busted out coins makes little sense as well.

How about the old P/D cent sized tokens- and plastic mint tokens

When I break stuff out of mint sets, I ditch the OGP.

even if someone were to buy the empty OGP, it's not going to sell for a lot and it likely won't be worth the trouble to keep it all around to try to sell it, maybe, later for some small amount over postage that won't make it worth your time.

does this response from me surprise anyone?

I'll keep my proof set envelopes and bring them back to my B&M every couple months. He'll throw a few bucks my way for them, and beats throwing them away if he has a use for 'em.

I think he uses them for proof sets he buys still in the cellophane, but without the envelopes, so everyone wins IMHO.

Actually recently eBay banned the sale of Original Government Packaging without the coins. One of sellers on here was irate about it if I remember correctly.
As for the coins that you don't want there is usually someone that does.

    Why ban the sale?

Those old GSA papers & boxes are very nice to complete the old GSA cases, for those who purchased them w/o the documents.

I believe that Ebay has a rule on COAs not on boxes, et al. They are afraid of knockoffs and such
getting attached to real COAs and then sold as real. I know it really does not make sense for coins
but that's the rule on COAs. So, you are not allowed to sell COAs (and that includes GSA certs) without
    the coin.

Yes,needing the money,I bust out many silver Kennedys out of my SMS sets. Now I have many, many clad coinage left in the opened sets. I hate to separate these because SMS coins are very difficult to distinguish from ordinary coins. I know it's a shame I had to break open but hard times!
