Nice one to have! However, I feel that it may have been misattributed. Based on the pictures it looks like a proof.

That thought crossed my mind too, but then I decided the fields were not mirror-like. What say the rest of you?

Looks MS to me. The fields however might be close to PL.

From those pics, that one doesn't look anything like a proof coin to me.
  • Definitely not a proof...surfaces have a satin type finish, not mirror- like as on a proof..

I have a few slabbed Rev B's that do have PL obverse surfaces. They are MS66 graded pieces and ALMOST
look like proof coins... I'll try to post pics of them later today..
  • This content has been removed.
  • Here's pics of 2 pieces that I have that appear to have PL obverse surfaces. The reverses were struck with proof dies
so it is common to see PL surfaces on the reverse, however, the obverse was struck with business type dies so PL surfaces
would probably indicate early strikes. Here's the pics. Not easy to see the PL surfaces on the pics, but the fields are very clear.
