How much value does a HOFer add on top of a cello pack from the 1960s?

Scenario:

Early 1960s cello pack with a HOFer on top. Cards appear to be PSA 8. HOF is valued at $130 and commons at $30. Cards value is approximately $640 without knowing what's inside the pack. GAI graded pack (first gen holder).

How much value does the cello pack add? 1.5x? 2x?

How much value does the HOFer add to the value of the cello pack?

It depends on the player and the year. Generally speaking, the rule of thumb was always 2-3x the value of a generic cello from that same year, but certain years/players can go much higher than that. A PSA 9 1980 cello with Henderson on top retails for about $250 while a generic PSA 9 1980 cello might command $30. For 1960s cellos, I'd say the disparity is smaller only because packs from that era are tough to come by in the first place so the additional value of the HOFer on top is less relevant, unless the player is on the level of Mantle or Mays.

A generic cello being common value x # of cards in the pack?

Generic meaning common cards on front and back. The increased value of a pack with a star on back is significantly less than a pack with that same star on top.

The value of unopened packs has little correlation to actual value of the cards showing as most cards in a 70s cello would grade no better than 7 or 8 anyway due to
the tight wrapping, especially if that card is the top card.
