What do you mean 11 ounces? This is clearly a 10 ounce bar.

Maybe 10 ty oz's = 11 av oz's when rounded up? Don't know for sure, but that may be what is meant.

It may be confusing to those who are not so savvy, in which case it is mildly deceptive. Since precious metals are priced and dealt with using Troy ounces, that is the only weight that matters and is the only weight that should be mentioned. JMHO...

In short, a troy ounce is about 10% heavier than a "regular" ounce.

    1 troy ounce = 1.09714286 ounces (avoirdupois)
  • Thanks KollectorKing. In the end, there are 11 normal oz. of silver.

Good to know about the av weight vs. ty weight.

It seems pretty clear in the subject to me. Even though, the weight in avdp ounces has no reason to be mentioned.
