First time submitting coins...any advice?

Believe it or not, I've never submitted a coin in my years of coin collecting and haggling. The submission process seems slightly intimidating, and I may just start out by joining up at the cheapest membership level and sending just 1 or 2 coins to get my feet wet. So, do you have any suggestions or advice on avoiding any pitfalls? Maybe I'm making too big of a deal out of it, but I thought I'd ask.

Take some pics of the coins you want to submit and post them here for opinions. This may save you some money and heartache.
Don't be in a hurry to get your coins back unless you pay moon money for 24 hour submissions.
Remember, you're paying for their opinion. Sometimes it's not the same as yours.

hope you make a "you suck" worthy coin too...
1. Spreading out the submission costs over more coins saves money on the shipping and submission costs.
2. Be honest with yourself and grade your coins before you send them in, perhaps even share with someone so you'll be accountable to be honest on what you really expected for a grade, rather than, "I was hoping for 64, but 63 is okay." When what you really thought is, "This is a lock 65!"
3. Make notes on each coin for yourself so you can similarly evaluate and refine your eye. Note hairlines, possible cleaning/damage, etc.
4. Recognize that the various submission tiers need to be on separate submission forms and you burn $24 minimum with each form, so try to group your submissions so you can get them on the smallest number of forms. Submitting more coins under a more expensive tier, could turn out to be cheaper than splitting into two submission forms.
