1953 Topps signed Mantle

I took a phone call from a friend's father last night who has a 1953 Topps Mantle signed in person from 1989. After talking on the phone I am guessing the card PSA 5 to 6 condition but here is the kicker it has a 1/4 inch by 1/8 inch piece of tape on the right border of the card. He is trying to gather a value for the card. Since I am football guy I was stumped. The Pop report shows eight PSA DNA of this card and five of them are AUTH which is where I see this one going.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I actually remember reading thread awhile back. I am trying to gauge a value for him instead of thinking of removing the tape.

Yes, I know. I think the discussions (and reading thru the description on that eBay '52 Mantle) would lean toward the card getting graded in the 1-2 area.

Auto Value 250-300
Together 650-1100...Just my Guesstimate

Even with the tape that seems a bit low on the card value. But then again it's not a card that I've actively tracked much.
