this stuff finally popped yesterday and it felt like it's been there since Armstrong, Aldrin & Collins began their orbit and ultimate descent to the historic Apollo 11 lunar landing.....thanx to CS for letting me be a noodge.

i don't get to sub much of the mod stuff, so it was nice to see gems, but whattup with Larrrrrrrrrrry.....thought THAT one was a lock for a 10. hmmph.

lucky stumble, i had no clue what it was until i researched a little and read about the Gallery cards in a thread here a few weeks ago.

it was the last card i included. i needed 25.

I don't know much about modern, but it looks like that was a very nice sub. Congrats. What is so special about that Gallery of Heroes card? I'm guessing, based on your comment, that it was a limited edition card? Tell me what you can about it.

Doug, i guess it was a limited production insert with their product that year.....the cards are rounded at the top and have the background appearance of stained glass.....the photo in the auction i linked doesn't really do the card justice, it's really nice to look at in hand.

i think. been awhile since i've seen mine.

I am slowly putting all of those gallery of heroes insert sets together .. .I like the way they look.

And #20 is there 2x

yeah i gotta check for more of those gallery inserts, i think it came from my son's card collection......more monster boxes than i care to lift right now, but my curiosity will eventually get the best of me.

and the 2x Manning, well there's as many 10's there as i thought i could get....bettin' the house on Broncomania.
