Pulled lots on Heritage?

I had a coin I was looking forward to bidding on in the upcoming Heritage Long Beach World/Ancient auction. I've checked it every couple days to see if anything had changed in it - they had just uploaded the full description with pictures, and it was a "Featured" coin in the auction. It looked like it was ready to go when bidding starts mid-August.

However, I just looked at it again and it's now returning "Invalid Lot". Zeus Lampsacus Stater

Does this happen frequently, and what would cause this? I assumed that by the time it was listed, documented, photographed, and posted as "Featured" it would be definitely coming out.

I had been reserving coin funds for the last couple months waiting for it, skipping several other coins which I have been very interested in, assuming I'd be spending high-five-figures on the coin.

I'm frustrated to say the least image

Coins occasionally get pulled and likely for a variety of reasons. I have never had the experience in which I was following a coin for a period of time before the auction, planning to make an effort to buy it, and have the coin pulled. Is it possible that it has been reclassified or listed elsewhere? If it is important, it might warrant a call to your rep at Heritage for clarification, but it seems likely that it is not available.

I would certainly call Heritage to find out what happened. Why just sit around and be unhappy about it?
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

I definitely will be doing so - I just saw it this morning and figured the forum would get the fastest response image Thanks for the input, everyone!

Lots can be withdrawn for a variety of reasons. The consignor is having seller regret, consignor found work and is no longer desperate for money, the coin is illegitimate, coin is stolen property, the coin belonged to inventory and got sold, coin was lost, coin was stolen by auction staff, etc. I can recall specific examples of every one of those examples actually happening. Give the auction company a call and talk to them about it.
