Cert Verification

I have seen a few post here were posters have talked about Cert Verification, and the date the coin was certified. I understand where and how to look up the coins on cert verification, but is the date of the coins certification figured out by the coins certification number, and if so can someone explain the process?

I do not know that there is any way to figure the coin certification date by the cert number.

    Nope, and that's by design.

Certain styles of slabs and the inserts have known start and end dates is about the only clue most have. And even that can be thrown off if the coin is sent in for a re-holder only.
