OT - Me in Afghanistan

This is hopefully my fourth and final combat tour... I've been to Iraq twice and this is my second tour in Afghanistan.

I'm currently stationed in the middle of Afghanistan. We're a unit composed of Navy SEALs and Army Rangers. If anyone would like a U.S. flag flown from Afghanistan, let me know. You'll receive a certificate with your Name and your Date of choice (I leave early November, so the date will need to be between now and the end of October); signed by the Navy SEAL Commander and the Navy SEAL Senior Enlisted Advisor. You will also receive our patch and challenge coin. I'd love to do this for free, but I can't. The total cost is $30 (Flag $17, Patch $2, Coin $6 and USPS $5). If you like a flag flown, please PM me.

If anyone finds this thread offensive, please ask the moderators to remove it immediately.

    It's the standard Annin 3' x 5' Nyl-Glo flag we fly in Afghanistan.

    I've mailed appoximately 25 flags the past couple weeks. You should start to see them in the States soon. Here's an image of the flag pole from which they flew.

    I have approximately 10 flags remaining to fly and will mail them once flown.

    I can't wait. Having a flag flown for my Father in Law's 80th birthday on August 25th.

    As the flag wont be here for that day I picked him up an Allen and Ginter Arnold Palmer auto.

    His 2 sporting hero's growing up were Ted Williams and Palmer. He used to work for the Boston Herald and got a Ted Williams auto on a piece of paper from one on the sports writers. So the Palmer will do him well.

    On top of that I won a contest on Blowoutcards for the PGA Championship and won a box of 2003 SP Game Used golf. I will break that on his birthday with him.

    If he gets a Tiger Woods auto he might just poop himself.
