I hate to do this guys but Steve put up some stuff he hasn't had on in a while. I was thinking of doing a small break with 78 Topps BB wax & cello along with 80 Topps BB wax and cello boxes. I know that most of us hasn't gotten our stuff back from the last rip. However, these boxes won't last long.

Let me hear from you if you want to do this. Here are the prices:

I am thinking wax box.....wouldn't that be better than a cello box?? It is cheaper and the cards might be better condiiton wise?

There are some people who like cellos. Wouldn't open but more looking for stars on top or bottom. You are correct the wax will give better quality cards on average.

OK guys I will line it up. We will do a box of 78 & 80 Baseball wax and cello boxes.

Now, since we are so close to 9:00, we will kick this off tomorrow night at 9:00 pm EST. Please do not reserve spots on this thread. I will start another one tomorrow for reservations. The reason I am starting tomorrow is to make sure everyone knows about it.

I heard back from Steve and he has reserved (1) box each of 78 & 80 wax and cello boxes. I will start another thread tomorrow night. The reservations will begin tomorrow night at 9:00 PM EST. Please do not reserve packs in this thread......wait for my new thread tomorrow night.

Hey Mark,

Did Steve mention the origin of the cello boxes by chance? Did he crack a case? If not, I have to assume someone searched though them at some point.

I am flying out of town tomorrow morning for a week, but want in. I just won't be able to pay for a week. Hopefully this won't be a problem. When this goes live tonight I will put in my order.

Doug has a good point. I would be in for some cellos if Steve says they're from a sealed case, but if it's just from loose boxes that BBCE acquired, I'd have to believe the boxes have been searched.

It's virtually impossible to find a sealed case of 78 Topps cello packs. That said, I have bought 78 cello boxes from BBCE in the past and have gotten packs with stars on front or back, so I don't think it's really an issue under the circumstances.

Also guys, remember the 76 cello box we busted last year. One pack had Brett on back and the other had Yount. Not saying the 78 cello box is pristine as far as being searched but we have alot better odds buying from Steve than Ebay.
