That's is an AWESOME CARD! Thanks for letting us look at it! This card is on my endless list of cards wanted but it seems that the list keeps getting larger!! Probably should stick to one player but I just love them all! Greg

Wow, that PSA 7 appears just as nice as my 8. I have always wanted a high grade Clemente and bought a PSA 6 a few years ago but sold it because I wanted to hold out for a sharper example. I only have two more to go to complete the basic set in PSA 8 or higher.

Superb looking 8 !!

I too have a Clemente 7, not near as nice as the 7 shown...I'd submit over and over till you at least got a 7.5. I once had an SGC84 of a different player that looked pretty good to me, cracked it and resubbed 3 times...third time was a charm, came back an 8.5...AND, I only paid $31 for the card...sold it for $976. It can happen !!!

BTW, my card also has that print mark running north and south between the T & E of Pirates.

Thanks, guys. I know that print spot detracts slightly from the card, but the corners, overall centering, and bright appearance won me over. It's nice to feel good about such a big $$ pick-up.

Not sure how this thread got revived but I'm happy to share again. Still pumped about it. I recently completed my Clemente basic set, but I still need a PSA 8 1971 Clemente to complete my set in all 8's.

VERY VERY NICE CLEMENTE GREATNESS above. Frozen ! That was fun to go through. I care nothing about the non in action stuff cards. Not in to simple posed man photos while in this hobby. The 1973 Clemente RULES ! At least it's from a game and can be considered a baseball card verse a posed photo yuckiness.

MeeMahMother- I agree in a general sense that game action cards are so much more palatable than head shots. On the other hand, a lot of my favorite cards are linked to busting packs or wishing I had vintage gems that my uncle would talk about. Aesthetically, my favorite Clemente is the '56 Topps largely because of the action shot.

Awesome collection of Clemente's there!! It's hard to to top the '55 & '56 but the '63 Fleer Clemente is starting to grow on me! That's a great looking card IMO.
