I wouldn't say he's trying to "fool" the next buyer--in fact, he seems to be pretty up front about everything in his listing.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

Well, seller does imply it should grade a 5-6, when it is likely trimmed.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
You guys were able to understand what the hell he wrote? LOL
I guess he does not believe the card is trimmed, although he never really mentions that that's why the card came back ... as he puts it ... "A".
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Well, he is telling the story behind it...an experienced buyer will simply discount what he thinks the card will grade out as, and bid accordingly.

Way back when I bought a 65 Aaron in a PRO holder prior to learning about their practices. It still measured up well to me, so I sent it to PSA. It cam back as trimmed and I have no idea where it is now. I probably still have it, but no chance I will try to sell a trimmed card.
Looking for 77 cloth 9s and 10s. 54 Red Hearts and now 64 Stand ups
<< <i>I can not confirm the card as I am not an expert. I purchased this as real back in year 2003 according to my records. In fact I am using the same picture taken when purchased then as I do not want to remove from plastic. And it was not for a cheap price neither! Card will be guaranteed w/ money back for any reason. Let me say that I am selling it as a RP only because I just do not know the validity on this type of card as my expertise starts somewheres in the '50s. It sure measures out correctly and looks all the same. I just can not be 100% sure! The BIN price is at the PrFr grade of 500.00. >>
I had a Clemente RC in a PRO 7 holder (came in a big lot I bought), took it out, compared it to a couple of other 55T I had, looked OK by my eye. Sent to PSA and came back PSA 5 which was right about what I guessed (for once - usually I'm 2 grades high!).
