visited a local coin show this a.m.....

there was very very little Silver out. What very little seen was priced at $4.50 over spot. One dealer had one bar and on the second time around I asked about it, he quoted $30.00 I purchased it. I picked up 6 NGC pretty toners a couple of non graded coins and was out in 40 minutes. I was disapointed in the inventory especially on the Silver front. I had cash and a check book but nothing really to buy. I stopped by a B/M Coin shop earlier in the week and noted that he had very little to offer and he said the regulars keep him bought out just about every day in the a.m. I truly don't know if there is a coordinated effort when the price is low to pull back the Silver inventory or at these prices it truly is being snapped up. I know for a fact that a store I used to visit very regularly did in fact pull their Silver inventory when there would be a $3.00-$5.00 rather sudden drop.

It was a fun little show about 40 dealers. Lots of smiles and good laughter. Surprisingly seemed to be a lot of younger people present at this one. Wouldn't say it was packed but you had to wait at times to pass between the tables. Appeared to be more trading taking place than usual. Another little note is I made purchases from three different dealers none offerd receipts but then again I didn't ask for any either.

I talked about this here on another thread on Thursday. Didn't get too much reaction, so that confirms it to me to be spot on (pun intended) image
People know it's not worth talking about because it's nothing but the truth. Spot means nothing right now other than being a manipulated guideline that everyone knows is not accurate to what the metal is truly worth.

I too attended a coin show today. You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting silver.
There was every variety and size ranging in price from back of melt to moon money.
I saw several bars that get called "rare and collectible" around here priced at $2/oz over. Bags of 90% and cull dollars were everywhere.
Perhaps the shortages and pricing you're experiencing is regional. Here in Southern California there is no shortage and its price is always relative to spot.

... the relative availabilty of silver bullion being among the most minor and inconsequential of reasons for that image

My dealer always sells silver and gold no matter what the price at the same spreads. His deal is you have to buy it though while the market is open and he can place an order to replace it. I guess this makes sense to me if you always have so many ounces mark it up more then you'll pay that day to replace it that day and conduct business as usual. If you want to buy after his source close though the price goes up a couple dollars more over spot.

See, this is where I go wrong, I do not carry a dead cat around with me... Where can I get one?

My neighbors Bear Hound spent half the night tearing up one of his nice 24 in diameter Redwood trees trying to get one for you. I didn't know a dog could
do so much damage just to get a cat.

its that they are smuggling it in from mexico through the other 167 tunnels that they haven't wanted to locate yet. I'm beginning to think them
tunnels flow knowingly both ways. image

complete bs, its truth only at that specific coin show at that exact time...
like the so cal guy said there is more silver that anyone can buy at below spot to $2 over,
in more places than a couple coin shows in timbuktu...lol

it people who either need cash or bought significantly higher and need cash and want other buyers to bail them out of losing physical position...
