Hey guys ... as many of you know Tony's (FiveNiners) wife Annie has been battling Cancer for the past year. A few weeks ago she had an operation and Tony and his wife Annie were told that they got all the Cancer and they were both finally relieved and quite happy. Annie came home and although she was still going to have to go for a few Chemo treatments they were thrilled that they could get back to normal with their lives.
I just received the following email from Tony:
August 12th Update! The following are excerpts from a PM I just received from Tony. Its been a while since I have communicated with you or anyone for that matter. Annie came home from the Hospital on July 31st. However, Annie's homecoming was short as on August 4th she caught Pneumonia and back to the Hospital she went. She was in till August 9th and she is now home again hopefully for good. In the mean time she still has the feeding tube. She will have home care from a nurse and OTs, PTs and speech therapist at least 3 times a week for the time being. She still has to face chemo in the near future as to prevent the cancer from coming back as she is cancer free.
July 27th Update! Annie is coming home next Tuesday. Except for a day and a half she has been in the hospital since June 28th. She still needs lots of rehab but at least I will have my Angel Baby home. She still faces Chemo in the near future but I hope she doesn't have to have the rough stuff. I am in the process of cleaning up the house and making it handicap friendly for her. She will still be on a walker or a crutch for a while plus a wheel chair. I am trying to find a place that repairs motorized beds.
July 19th Update! Clinically she is now doing fine and has regained most of her movement and speech, she will need about 2 weeks of in patient therapy. Her biggest challenge will be her ability to swallow foods and liquids so she had a feeding tube inserted yesterday. It should be only temporary. Hopefully not too long.
Sunday July 15 update. I just received the below message from Tony
Annie lost all movement on her left side and ability to speak and swallow. However yesterday she began regaining her abilities to a fairly good degree except her speech is very shallow but understandable. Her swallowing is still quite on the risky side and she is not allowed any foods or liquids except apple sauce. Her senses are excellent as is her memory. Doctors and Therapists that visited her this morning said she has made good progress so far and are very optimistic.
I pray they are.
I will keep U posted
Tony
July 13th. Annie suffered a stroke at 1 am Friday morning. She is in the hospital. I will get back to you soon with further details When I can.
I can't tell you how bad I feel right now. PLEASE keep both Annie and Tony in your prayers and thoughts. Tony is having such a tough time.
Thanks.
