<< <i>Perhaps if we expensed as much anger towards our politicians as this topic we might actually get somewhere. >>
Politicians care little about anger or their constitutents once elected. They are more fearful of the lobbyists, media, and their elected peers than anyone else. What we do need to do however is to vote the entire gang of 535 out of office. Anything short of a 60-80% changeover couild not produce the needed change. And I'm not sure a 100% change will produce the desired effect since the "replacement players" will likely be of the same general mold. We are continually presented with candidates that all act the same. The mold has to be changed as well. 4 yrs ago the US voted for change. It didn't work. >>
They would care if we didnt get angry for only a few weeks every 4 years. Maybe we should all be angry all the time.
eh, not all the time. Just put the spotlight on them EVERY time they do something their constituents don't want. You might be surprised how they'd react once they are in the spotlight and wrong. They know this too because the general public tends to remember the bad things they did more than the good, so if the spotlight was put on them every single time they did something assinine, they might think twice before they get on board with a bass ackwards referendum. jmho.

I do go out of my way to buy things made in the USA...some things are easy to find and are no brainers....but you would expect the Olympics to be a no brainer as well...make them here, how hard is it????

I seriously would not call this past four years status quo, or of the same general mold. This current President has definently broken the mold this go around to our detriment, unless your reaching clear back to woody.

I just bought my first American car ever this spring. Weird for a kid growing up in Detroit. I can now park in my Dad's driveway. He would never let me park my "foreign" cars there before.
Why did it take me so long to buy a car "Made in America" (or close by in Canada or further away in Mexico)? Because until the past few years cars made in America sucked in general against it's peers in quality and appearance. Why would I reward the inferior US automakers of that time? So they could continue to make $hitty cars? That seems un American to do so. Over the past 30 years I feel like I'm way ahead of the game.
I know it's a silly premise but I try to buy the best bang for my buck and I usually lean towards quality regardless where it is made. Inferior quality and inferior manufacturers should go out of business regardless of the soil.

I wasn't aware of a ban for the Kinder Surprise eggs! I grew up eating them!

I'm thinking of a combo radar & laser recon and diversion system. Is thinking illegal yet?
I knew it would happen.
No, but it's not a bad idea to have a tin foil hat on when thinking how nice things would be with BO losing in Nov., just in case.
Is thinking illegal yet?
No, but if it does become illegal, it will happen in Texas first.
