Ebay dilemma need advice

I have 65 auctions ending this Sunday night. This is the most cards I have ever listed. Im usually in the 10-15 items every 2 weeks or so. I dont sell enough to create an Ebay store. I was not thinking ahead when I listed these cards and im leaving on the 16th for a cruise and will not return until the 24th. I wont be able to ship any of the cards until the 25th. Im not sure how much interent access I will have and of course it will be unsecured. I cant put a vacation note unless I have a store. Do I cancel the auctions and relist in a couple of weeks? Do let the auctions run then try to notify the winning bidder im out for 8 days? I dont want to make anyone upset by not shipping for such a long time after the auction ends. Any advice???

Thanks!

That is a dilemma. If it were me, I'd cancel the auctions and relist everything when I got back. If you have 65 auctions going, there is bound to be at least one irrational buyer among them. If they are not understanding of your situation, your feedback may be at risk. Plus, do you want to have this in the back of your mind while on vacation?
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.
  • Cancel everything. Unless you want negative feedback for slow shipping, and your star rating to plummit.

I could see many Negative Feedbacks, and everyone leaving 1 star across the board.

When I had an auction end while I was on vacation, I was real nice in alerting the guy that I wouldn't be able to ship as soon as he paid, and that the item would ship when I returned home (3 days after he had paid). I gave him the option of cancelling the auction (it was a BIN) if he needed the items sooner, as I was used to shipping same day/next day, and I wouldn't be able to meet the high standard I made for myself. He replied - no problem, ship it when you return. I shipped the items priority mail at the higher rate at my expense upon the return. HOWEVER, when it came time to leave feedback, he slammed me with 1's across the board on the Ebay star fiasco. In my opinion, you should cancel the auctions to avoid the same crap that I had to endure (if you even care about your stars/feedback).

You will know all the winners Sunday night and be able to package and prepare everything for shipment. Message all winners immediately after the listings with your story and that there will be a delay in shipment if not paid for by whatever time you're leaving Monday morning. Many people will pay Sunday night to Monday morning and you can print postage for those packages and drop them in any mail box. Give somebody the remaining packages all addressed, DC tagged, and ready to go less the postage, and have them mail them out when you see payment has come in. Just check that the PayPal address matches what you already have on the package from Ebay and everything will go out in an acceptable time. You could also end everything and cause great confusion with the current bidders and hope they'll bother bidding on your listings the second time around.

yeah, i agree, and i hate the one-sided ebay feedback crap that hurts me as a seller, but a buyer can take 10 days to pay, and/or lie about the item being bad or condition, and he leaves you negative feedback, and all 1 stars, but all i can do is leave positive for him, com,e on ebay!!!
