1976 topps fb rack header cards, help me out

i am trying to buy some 1976 topps fb racks, i found out today they have the red header with the side code#1-918-93-01-5 , and on the back is an add to join the topps club with an epiriration date of 12/31/1976? did topps use the leftover 1975 topps rack headers and put the advertising for the 1976 ad on the back? the packs look aged and pretty brittle, he said they have been sitting at his parents house for 35 years and he just picked them up a couple weeks ago, are they legit? did topps use the wrong year headers on the 1976 fb racks. asking b/c i know they did that alot with cello wrappers in the 1970's using different years. i have a 1975 fb cello graded psa 8 but it has a 1974 wrapper and have a 1977 topps bb cello psa 7 with a 1975 topps cello wrapper? please let me know thanks again.

I've actually got the same question. You don't see as many of these out there as you do baseball. I just bought a couple 1976 football rack packs and while one had the traditional header card:



the other one has what looks like a 75 or 76 baseball header with the side code 1-918-93-01-5. It has the same ad on the back mentioned above and looks similar to:



The e-bay seller of the odd header pack has sold a bunch on eBay recently all with the same header. I don't know if the seller is you deadhead or whether I'm buying from the same person you were working with but my concerns are the same. As you mentioned, the packs have age appropriate curl and I know that Topps has reused wrappers/headers/etc from time to time. I just want to make sure that what I'm buying is legit.
