LIVE from KC -- what a signed baseball, already

Scored an all-star ticket last recently.

Checking in and who is standing near by, Joe Carter. Graciously signed ball

Walked over to Marriot to buy all-star merchandise (heard selection was good), Frank Thomas is outside. he signs same ball and takes pic. HUGE man.

Then Pudge Rodriguez walks over to bust F. Thomas, so he signs ball.

So does Joe Torre, then Reggie Jackson!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Must have been there the same time as you, Joe Torre was trying to make it thru the lobby but being very gracious about taking pictures with people. Plenty of players around, all pretty low key.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

not that I saw. A few dealers with modern stuff and a Topps booth, but it wasn't the National.

Don't you know you destroyed the value of that ball? Multi-signed items ALWAYS go for less!

Just kidding. I've been to one All Star Fan Fest, and a couple Super Bowl events. I have all manner of stuff signed by all kinds of random people. Great score!

Post All-Star game thoughts, pics and more:

Got to meet/pic with Frank Thomas:

In my life, I've gotten 1 free auto at game (Tom Paciorek) after a rain delay at Vet stadium sometime around 1983/84.

In KC, Joe Carter, Frank Thomas, Pudge Rodriguez, Joe Torre, Reggie Jackson and Jack Morris sign the same ball. Was blown off by Juan Marichal and Rollie FIngers.

Was possibly going to meet the IronMan himself, but for some reason, it fell through. BUT -- and those caps are intentional -- had a full-access pass and was on the field for BP for about 45 minutes:

    Life is good.

Could it get any better for a Mets fan? We met the Dickey family. too and got a few pics (they saw our Mets shirts and came over to talk).
