Unopened Racks and Cellos with Stars on Top

I want to start pursuing unopened packs with stars on top, but it seems these days everything is so easily counterfeited and scams are everywhere.

If I am shopping on eBay and come across unopened racks or cellos that are not graded, are these easily tampered with? Anyone know what one would look for?

For instance, there is a 82Topps Rack with Ripken on top on eBay

The best experience that I can give you to start out is start reading past threads about this subject. Just type in your request at the top of the thread beginning. If a pack or cello by PSA is graded, you can be pretty sure it is legit. First generation packs from GAI are usually pretty good but it is best to get some experience on that company. There were some problems too.
    Good luck
  • At this point of the game the best thing to do is to stay with graded packs, it is very difficult to learn the different characterustics of the factory seals
with the limlted product that exist today, cause at the end of the day that is the only sure way to properly make a clear judgement of a counterfeit or not,
they're other ways like card placement in the pack that create red flags and a red flag means it requires closer inspection and if you don't have the proper
knowledge to make the right determination then stay away, besides graded packs are on the rise!! most members that puechased graded packs from me
have been able to resale them for a nice profit.

There is a PSA 10 75 CELLO with FOuts on top that is sweet, but starting price feels a little high to me
