How this got a 10 is amazing . The lower left and upper right corners are both a little soft . Still should fetch a great price .---- Sonny

  • Pretty nice, but I'm going to wait until a better 10 comes along. image

If I found this card somewhere, I would likely assume it was fake. Unreal how the color has stayed that vibrant over time. Plus the centering is out of this world. IF..if the card is legit, its really in a league of its own in terms of Caramel issues.

As stated earlier, corners do not appear to support the grade.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Is it normal with this issue to have all that bleeding on the reverse not affect the grade?

I don't think that's bleeding, I think it's part of the stamp not sure
The upper right corner looks fine to me, the lower left hard to tell - could be soft or could just be a slight bend taking the tip of the corner out of focus a bit
Probably one of those instances where card looks better in hand
I actually like this card in a 10

I guess you're right. It's a good question then, because after pulling up pics of E98 reverses, it doesn't look like a common feature on these.

not bleeding, wet sheet transfer. Is this the 8.5 in the wrong holder or the 10, I am confused

ok that is the real 10, I am looking for a pic of the 8.5

Ted ... all pictures that I posted on this thread are of the "10".

Agreed. This does look questionable. Are there any other examples of this type of color from this era?

    Thanks,

guess the 9 Ty Cobb cards would have also been 10's if not for centering and they are now in PSa 9 holders image
