Memorabilia help!!

Ok, I've been given several items to sell which include auto graphed Ted Williams bats, Derek Jeter bat, ball and photos....just a buch of stuff. Anyhow, most everything is authenticated by either JSA or Steiner. Now, the one item that I was given is an alleged Jose Canseco game used home jersey from 1988 that is signed and inscribed and batting glove. Now, I am by no means an expert but it looks good to me but no authentication came with it. So, my question is....how do I get a jersey authenticated as game used as well as the auto that is on the two items? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I would just send to PSA. Canseco is probably a $20-25 charge.

For return shipping cost, call them. They can answer any questions you have.

On a side note, I've found PSA/DNA items sells for more than JSA, GAI and Steiner.

PSA is good for the autograph, but I would suggest to either post pics of the jersey at the Game Used Universe forum and see what those guys say, or send it off to Mears who does game used authentication.

Beware, Scoreboard issued signed jerseys that lots of people confuse with game used. I'm not saying that's what you have, but I believe Canseco was on the short list of players who had signed jerseys issued and were being passed off to collectors as game used.

I had a 1988 Canseco home jersey stolen from me in a deal gone bad around 1992 (trader never sent his stuff). If you can post or send pics or scans of all the tags, and the name and number on back I can at least tell you if it matched what I had. I know the one I had came directly from the team.

The initials of the guy you got this stuff from wouldn't be "S.S." would they?

Thanks for all the help. Moose, pm me with your e-mail address and I'll send pics....not so good at posting on here. The person that I got it from bought it from a guy that buys storage lockers in Florida. Don't know the name/initials of that guy or obviously the guy that had the storage unit. Most of the stuff that I have appears to be from around 2000-2001 and appears that some of the stuff. They said there was a lot of it from all sports but they bought mostly baseball and football.

    Thanks!
