Is this FE cent Machine Doubling or a DDO?? Check not only the date, but also the
tail feathers and the back of the wing at the top of the pic. TIA Harvey

resembles what ejection doubling would look like if it were ejected to the east (right) of the machine. from the left aka south-east to north-west

i see this quite a bit with morgan dollars if in fact it is ejection doubling.

not an expert on strike/machine doubling vs ejection doubling

certainly not hub doubling though; although the last A in America stopped me for a second since that spot has known hub doubling
.

Definitely machine/strike doubling. Very nice example too.

EagleEye

Since the date and eagle/legend are put on the die at different stages prior to 1909, you won't have doubling on both these elements with a doubled die. It is strike doubling.
