Now that we know 250K +or- 10K when it is said & done. The Question is how many can be

<< <i>The Question is how many can be shipped in the first 30 days for first strike? >>
i am under the impression that first strike may always be given if the box is not opened and the TPG can verify the box hasn't been opened even if it is 10 years from now.
.
when will mine arrive since it always takes 10 to 20 days for mint orders to get here
and finally, what percentage of 70's will there be.

As long as they are post marked in the first 30 days!
<< <i>My questions are: will they ship earlier than 7/27,
when will mine arrive since it always takes 10 to 20 days for mint orders to get here

1) I bet they will start shipping VERY soon
2) Unless you just ordered one or two they will be sent UPS 2nd day air.....(I bet the 2 set orders will be sent this way also)
3) I plan on have ALL my sets grade 70
<< <i>On what day does the 30 day period start? >>
From the date they first SHIP from the USM.
<< <i> I plan on have ALL my sets grade 70 >>
Then send them across the street.
<< <i> am under the impression that first strike may always be given if the box is not opened and the TPG can verify the box hasn't been opened even if it is 10 years from now. >>
For PCGS, for items received within 30 days of initial SHIP date from the USM are eligible, open box allowed within those 30 days if no other coin within the set was offered in another product option previously that year, closed/sealed box as long as the label ship date is within 30 days of initial ship date from the USM can be submitted anytime in the future.
NGC (ER) requires the coins be received by them no later than 30 days from initial SHIP date from the USM, no sealed boxes beyond that date. If coins offered previously, sealed box rule during the first 30 days.
Of course, there may be other special requirements for special labelling, etc.

They have to be RECEIVED within 30 days of 1st mint shipment....sealed boxes are pointless
<< <i>My question is how much will PCGS FS 70's sell for?
the tv shysters maybe 499.95 + shipping id say

This is true.
Well, as long as they have the First Strike™ Program that is.

If you ordered at Least three sets, you'll get automatic priority overnight shipping.

The boxes have to be sealed because one of the coins in the set is available else where on the Mints website.

I only ordered 3 sets on the initial day they were offered so should receive those during the first wave of shipping BUT, I'm really torn on whether or not to have them graded for First Strike™. For me, that cost is prohibitive at $30 per coin! Each set would chew up an additional $60 ($180 total) plus from shipping at $21.95 (minimum) and TO shipping at around $30.
I don;t know. Given the total orders on a "Mint to Order" program, it just seems that not a whole lot of folks actually wanted these at the $149.95 price much less paying additional slabbing premiums for graded sets.
If a majority grade at the 70 level, the premiums might not actually be worth the additional cost.

The 2012-S & RP are only available in the 75th set.

I thought the First Strike cost was $18 per coin.
Your right...(think that movie preview voice here) In a world where nearly all ASE's grade MS70, the lower grades are bullied and ridiculed into obscurity. Then, one of the lowlyest, an MS64, rises up against the elites to assert his rarity. He becomes more valuable as the lowest population graded coin for his date group. He reigns for years as the most desirable ASE in his scuffed and dinged accoutrements.
however, the recent changes to bulk procedures and "label" price increases has me leaning across the street for some of these issues
Also, based on the information shared online from individual submitters on the last (25th anniversary) sets, a very very small percentage made it to the lofty 70- grade, but there were a huge amount of 70 sets available from dealers/bulk submitters.......I just didnt understand it......
Haven't you heard that it is a fact that bulk sumbitters always submit prettier coins than the regular joe.
<< <i>The 2012-S & RP are only available in the 75th set. >>
Oh okay thanks drei3ree. My mistake I thought the 2012-S proof was the same proof coin sold separately on the mint's website. That makes the set even that much BETTER!!
First Strike is $18 EXTRA, on top of the regular submission costs, so total is at least $32/coin (submitted at the "Modern" service level of $14/coin)

They did not ship all of the 25th sets in the first 30 days.
Edit: ...and they were not dealing with returns--which they will have with the 75th sets.
It's in an amazing state of preservation, probably proof 71 or 72 at least!!
There is nothing, --Nothing!-- like the historical significance of a coin minted yesterday! It's entire ownership history is known, and it starts and ends with me! Oh, the vanity!!
And what are the odds that it survives the attrition these will experience... not many at all will survive in perfect condition. But mine will! I'll take good care of it!
I love these coins with this year's date on them, it's so easy to collect!! just place an order and they show up, as many as you can afford, no problem at all finding one.
it's good it's no challenge. so EASY!
ALSO! there are many giftwrapping options! yes! one can get blue labels, white lables, flag lables, autographed labels, lables with plusses and stars and stickers on them!!
AAAAANNNND sell it to someone, immediately, for more!
that's pure numismatics right there! Yes, this ASE set is History all right

Ummm....history meaning sale over....I really know you knew that....I hope......
<< <i>Some like antique, some like modern, and some enjoy both. That's the beauty of it.
EDIT: But that's okay. If yours aren't eligible; you can take your time, open them up, and return all that look <70.

<< <i>If I return one of the 75th sets to the Mint and request a replacement, will I get it? >>
I'm betting they'll made/made more than what's been ordered, since it's not difficult to melt the remainder when all is said and done. I don't think there will be any problem getting a replacement set, should one be requested. After all, it's on the packing slip, all you have to do is note if you want a replacement or a refund.

i wouldnt wait long for a replacement request, you may just get a refund, they definitely dont guarantee a replacement.
No status change yet cancel box still there.

<< <i>What are the chances of the early birds sending sets back for replacements and the Johnny come latelies getting those returned sets? >>
It depends on the reason for the return. If the set was returned because it looks 69 and not 70, it will be recycled and given to someone else.
as neither of the coins were offered previously in any product option - therefore no need to be sealed.
it is VERY possible rejects can and will be sent back for return, and could be recycled, given to another customer......
late orders will not have the possibility of ER/FS, as their ship date is well out beyond the 30 days.......
<< <i>its an interesting situation - the early birds who receive the first shipment have 30 days to inspect and submit the coins for ER/FS.....

The early birds have only 5 days to examine the coins.....the same as the later orders....neither is guaranteed a replacement...just a refund...
Obviously the FS/ER thing is the difference between them
