Help with dirty or stained card.

So i picked up this richardson rookie card. It is pretty nice except that the whole front surface seems to be dirty or stained a light brown color. Not really sure how it happened. Does anybody know of anyway to get rid of this without hurting the card?

    Your choices are to leave it or soak it. If you choose to soak it there are instructions on Net 54. Test your skills on a dirty common first.

    So i followed the directions from the net54 page and soaked the card, and it doesnt really look any different. Is there anything special you have to do, like rub it with something, in order to get stains out better?
