Anyone buy the 2012 Upper Deck Football yet?

I don't buy much in the way of modern, but I may be interested in these, especially for the mascots. Anyone have some results to share? And also the 2012 Topps Chrome football look neat, love the look of the 84 throwback rookies!

I did get a Purdue mascot card. They look pretty neat, in hand.
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.
I would save every dollar you have for 2012 Topps Chrome. It is going to be huge. The quality of the refractors and inserts is one of the best I have ever seen in a football product. I wouldn't be surprised if cases debut at $900-$1000. I know that Blowoutcards has already stopped taking pre-orders.
On the flip side, you may be able to get 2012 Finest for a deal since it is getting overlooked by Chrome.
<< <i>I would stay away from Upper Deck football right now. They are having severe financial problems and if you pull a high dollar redemption, you could be SOL if the company goes down. That being said, so far they have redeemed all the cards I have pulled over the past 12 months. I don't plan to buy any UD in 2012.

I agree... The best modern football set, and baseball set for that matter, is Topps Chrome. Don't spend your money anywhere else
<< <i>Cool ok, so if I DO decide to buy any UD, it will only be a few packs and then I may go heavy on the Chrome!!!
Chrome is one of the few products that actually has a decent retail boxes. Whenever I go to Target, the Panini garbage is always marked down but the Topps Chrome is always sold out.
I will also give you another piece of advice - Don't buy Panini football. The products are all the same and the value per box is poor. In addition, they kick you in marbles with how long it takes to get a redemption back from them. I just got a 2010 Crown Royale Ryan Mathews Auto, over 18 months waiting.

I haven't bought any unopened football since 1991! Topps Chrome will be my only interest I'm sure! Thanks for the info.
