My buddy Drew (ajw) passed this link on to me this afternoon. Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Sam Fuld apparently grew up idolizing Butler and did a very nice little writeup for the Hall of Very Good blog.

    I grew up wathching the A's and Giants with one eye on the Dodgers. Brett Butler was one of the players that seemed to always give teams problems. One of the best players I grew up watching.

    Great read. While not the greatest player, Butler seems like a very good human being off the field--something every ball player should aspire to.
