<< <i>Gorgeous card!! You thinking in the 8.5 neighborhood? >>
nope.
may come as a surprise to some, but my immediate plans are to make it the centerpiece of a raw set. i've been looking for such a nice example as this for almost 2 years since i acquired a raw set which had another beautiful Doc......with a tiny wrinkle on the back.
dunno what the graders might think, but i'd give it an 8.
He grew up here on Long Island in one town over from where I grew up.
Nice looking card! If you HAD to say something negative maybe the bottom right corner is not perfect and there is a slight upward tilt on the lettering at the bottom of the card. But wow, that is some awesome card. Are you sure you don't have an old Topps printing press in your basement? LOL
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
For such a graceful and skilled basketball player, he was remarkably unskilled at softball.
I recall going to a Phillies game in the early 80's that held a celebrity softball game beforehand.
Doc looked amazingly uncoordinated as he feebly swung and missed at several pitches, which, btw, were SLOW-PITCHES.
Maybe he was just nervous.
Yeah, that's the ticket. Nervous. >>
softball is a demanding game. unfortunately, it doesn't allow you to swoop with your wings outstretched like an eagle and cradle dunk over Michael Cooper.
