A new want list website--I think one is needed.
We look and look and look, and never can find the one or 2 coins that would complete the series, in the grade we desire. While the hunt is exciting, and for many of us, the prime motivator, what about a new website?
For a small fee, you can post the coin(s) you are looking for, perhaps with a price range as well. It would be organized by series, and date.
The Buy sell board here is okay but not organized.
I think it will attract attention every day, esp. for the selllers/dealers looking fior the right buyer. And I would go there for both reasons--to sell a specific coin that I no longer want, and to look for the evasive CBH I just cannot find anywhere.
Anyone, please expand on this idea, refine it, and then we can start!

You lost me at "small fee".
I have a lot of ideas for a site like this, though, just not enough time to actually do it myself, which is a real bummer.
type2,CCHunter.
This area gives you the ability to add coins you wish to purchase. Want List coins can be added in the same way you add non-PCGS certified coins to your inventory. Click "Add Coins" and you will be taken to a page which will allow you to add coins one at a time or by uploading a spreadsheet. If you add the PCGS number along with the grade for the coin, the population and value will also be available.
You can add missing coins from your sets as well. You'll find a link to do so just above the list of coins in the set in "My Sets." Note that because type sets allow for multiple coin numbers in each slot, coin numbers for type sets will not transfer to My Want List. Instead, a general description will be listed under "Owners Comments." You can fill in the PCGS number later on the Want List form and if you include grade, population and prices will upload to your want list.
New! Want List Connection
You can select items to be placed on the Want List Connection which is a private area within My Set Registry, available only to Set Registry members. The WLC allows you to post your want list so that others might sell to you or trade coins.
Coins must have PCGS numbers in order to list them in the WLC. To add coins to the WLC simply check them and click "Add checked coins to Want List Connection." A WLC icon will appear by the coin. To delete a coin, click "Delete checked coins from Want List Connection." Any edits you make from My Want List for coins that are in the WLC will automatically be updated in the WLC.
For best results, post a grade, bid price or buy range, and any description that might help you find the perfect coin, such as "Rainbow toning" or "White only."
The Want List Connection is self-monitoring. Please report any abuse to setregistry@collectors.com.
Edited to add that I just looked through the PCGS Want List Connection and it appears there are 916 coins currently being wanted by what looks to be a few dozen different Set Registry members... including one by me
Michael Kittle Rare Coins --- 1908-S Indian Head Cent Grading Set --- No. 1 1909 Mint Set --- Kittlecoins on Facebook --- Long Beach Table 700
I put in a "Wanted" list at USPatterns.com about 15 years ago and have never been contacted.
It could be like having a want list with a dealer only it is visible to anyone wanting to sell coins or even getting a push to sell coins they haven't thought about selling.
It would be nice having a grade range and a willing price as well.
Posting want coins on the BST works sometimes but having it in one place and organized would be much better.
IMHO
But do you also solicit registry members?
Also have you browsed the My Collections function of Heritage?
