    I prefer Gold over Silver for this very reason. If you can't grab your stash and run..... you're stashing the wrong stuff.

    Very sad news. It's not like in a wildfire you can stand your ground and defend your property against looters. This is where a SDB is an excellent thing.

    -SDB's are good, but what if you're not able get to them.....ever again.
    -In-house safe's are good, but what if something like this happens and you can't return for days/weeks/months, and what if someone found your safe and hauled it off?
    -What if you take your stack with you and you leave it unguarded for a minute?

    Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

    During Hurricane Katrina even the Banks were looted.


    I'm always stocked at how fast some wildfires can travel. Worst nightmare SHTF is one of these wildfires overtaking a city in high winds.
