Good brick-and-mortar shops in New England?

Hey folks, since this is the BST forum ... can you recommend places to B, S or T (or just BS ) in New England?

I'm taking a road trip and seeking numismatic / historical / neat stops. In appreciation for your suggestions, I'll gladly pick-up and mail souvenires (PM if interested).

My route:

- Baltimore, MD

- NYC, NY (american numismatic society HQ? anyone ever been???)

- Bridgeport, CT / Southern CT

- Providence, RI

- Martha's Vineyard, MA

- Springfield, MA

- Albany, NY

- Poconos (eastern PA)

then back home to Atlanta, GA (so anything along the interstates). I might try the Philly mint. Sadly I will return home BEFORE the ANA event

Springfield, MA has a store on Allen St. called Coin Exchange. Half of the store is coins, the other half is sports cards. I have not been there in quite a while, but he had a nice selection of coins

See if you can book a tour at the FED in NYC. They have a museum with some "nice" coins!

Yea, he's only 3 hours west of Albany as the crow flies.

In Albany, be sure to try:

Ferris Coin & Stamp. 114 Central Avenue

Olde Saratoga Coin. Several locations, including 1593 Central Avenue

Wiliam Panitch. 3 West Computer Drive. Bill is a true gentleman, and easy to do business with.
