Value of Vintage Baseball Gloves and Catchers Mask. 30's and 40's?

Looking for some expert opinions on value. I checked completed ebay sales and seems like these sell for between $20 and $40 and possibly more for catchers mitt. Does this sound about right? Anybody see any items that may sell for more? These belong to a friend of mine who lives about 4 hours away and is interested in selling, so I do not have in hand and can only make out a few players names from pictures. Joe Gordon and possibly Curt Simmons.

Any help appreciated.

    These gloves are in pretty rough condition. If it was me I'd pass. You can find better. The mask is missing some padding and looks beat up as well. Gloves endorsed by HOFers and in nice shape are cool to collect and some are quite valuable. These are nothing special. Do some research and get a Joe Phillips vintage glove price guide (usually listed on ebay). Hope this helps.
