Little League All Stars- anyone?

Curious to see how many of have kids, nephews, etc playing or getting ready to play All Stars.
My son's 9/10 year old All Star after 3 weeks of practice finally plays its 1st game on Saturday. They've got 6 teams in their district. Play 5 games in 7 days. The top 2 finishers get a rest day and then play a best of 3 to go to the VA State tournament.
My son's first taste of a tournament setting- so it should be pretty fun. I'm very happy to be watching from the stands and not the dugout.
Pitch counts/catching rule/minimum playing requirements- that would drive me insane trying to keep up with.
