Ya, they completely ruined him....I never understood why they deviated from what appeared to be the plan for so long of him replacing Papelbon as the closer.

He was not pitching very well last year either so it was not something that just happened this year.

He also is the one that wanted to be a starting pitcher.

so who is the pitching coach with the Sea Dogs? Maybe I will get to see Bard pitch when I go to a game in Portland in July

It does seem sad at the moment--but I still have hope he will rebound in the near future.
