Pop Report update frequency

Just curious if anyone knew how frequently the pop report was updated. I know it says everyday. I was just curious if anybody found different. Also do they update individuals card/sets or the entire report at once. Thanks.

Working on the following sets
1980's and 1990's Topps Baseball BBCE FASC - Cello or Wax Boxes
1952 Bowman US Presidents PSA 7 & up
Pro Football Hall of Fame Indianapolis Colts PSA Registry Set
June 9th Cubs full ticket or stubs - 1981 to 2020
Andre Dawson Topps Basic registry PSA 10's
Mark Grace Topps Basic registry PSA 10's

I would think that the pop report would be updated automatically when the flips are printed.....I could be wrong though.

I notice that whenever I have a sub pop, the population report usually updates within 24 hours after poppage.

I check the pop report everyday for the sets I collect and they update everyday. When you get the confirmation your cards have shipped they hit the next morning.

They do update it everyday. From my previous observations it appears that the pop report update goes through at around 2am-3am eastern. I haven't really checked in a while so the time frame may have changed.

My 2 cents...the POP report, since (and perhaps before) the addition of the half-point grading system by PSA has become really bloated. There have been so many crack outs and resubs, that I would venture to say that between PSA 5 - 7 and to some extent PSA 8s, the POP report is simply not accurate and cannot be fixed.

The scenario...a person has a PSA 7 that he/she thinks it should be an 8, or at least a 7.5. The person cracks the card and sends it in. The card comes back a PSA 7. What just happened? The card has in essence been cloned, the first 7, now the second. Same thing if the card came back a 6.5, or even an 8, the original PSA 7 has never been removed. Virtually nobody sends in the flip enabling PSA to adjust the POP report accordingly. There are people who just crack out ad nauseum, the same 7 or 7.5, whatever, gets recycled over and over again.

The other thing to keep in mind is that those cards you may seek, that are already in the PSA Registry are not available for sale...example...POP report says card x has a POP of 35 and there are 15 in the Registry, well, the TRUE POP for that card (if you believe the POP report), is therefore 20, not 35.
  • I have something else about the pop report. What about crossovers? Are the report going to say Beckett for them to remove those that crossover to PSA and same for the other way. I not sure that this is being done. So I haven't been able to believe the pop report is accurate in that regards either. Because if they don't report it to each other then there is no way the POP repost can be right with Beckett or PSA. Anyone else have any thoughts?
