How bad is GAI?

Okay, ready for a HUGE can of worms? Here goes - is GAI really THAT bad? I always thought competition was healthy for any business. I know early on, Global Authentication had their problems, but now that Demian Werner has been running things under Global Authority, is it now a good source for grading or does he not have a clue? Does anyone here still submit cards or packs to GAI for grading? (Don't worry, Joe O won't exile you from this chat room if you admit to it.) We do need another pack grading company for sure . . . and I for one hope GAI stays around if they are in fact offering a valid service.

The primary reason some people will need another pack grading company is when packs are returned unholdered by PSA.
It will fill the niche market for the niche clientele selling a niche product.

The thing with grading companies is that the product (graded cards) they produce is only as valuable as what collectors are willing to pay for them.

Since GAI has a bad rap, few are willing to buy their product unless they're doing so at a huge discount.

I had no idea GAI was still in business.

I don't have many GAI packs in the newer holders but the vast majority un the first generation holders are perfectly fine as I have personally opened nearly 200 graded packs and only a few were either suspect or resealed. Like anything else when it comes to unopened product, know who you're buying from, what to look for and use common sense.
