GAI PACK GRADING, TOOK 6 MONTHS, RUDE PEOPLE, PLEASE READ!!!

i will never send another pack to gai or demian werner ever again, he is the rudest person i ever talked to and they screwed so many packs up 3 hockey packs labeled wrong year1978-79 opc were labeled 1977-78, and most recent i had waited 6 months, yes 6 months for a 1984 topps football rack pack w/ marino glossy on top and dickerson rc on back, so i get it back and first it is half melted to the new rack holders they use 2nd. the right side of the rack is ripped on the side. 3rd they labeled it wrong ,yes another one, by labeling it 1985 topps rack pack gai 9. i looked at b.b.b in iowa where they are at and they have so many complaints against them, its nuts. so i called and talked to demian werner and he wanted me to send the pack back, can you screw anything else up on it? and he was a rude person to the extreme says he wants me to send it back, yeah right? and he will give me $70 for it, i will never do that b/c i dont trust gai as far as i could throw them. and i would never see the $. just venting b/c i could not believe how i was treated. any other horrer stories from gai, thanks god i sold 90% of th3e packs i got graded from them and its all psa now, it is amazing the difference i get treated like a person w/ them and they anwser and return phone calls it great compared to the treatment from demian werner at global. i have it all on the conversation recorded on my phone b/c i knew what kind of company it was when i called back, so i recorded it. thanks for listening and let me know if you had the same or worse

Just curious, what do they charge to attempt to grade a rack pack in six months?
I have not sent anything there in years and usually avoid anything in the new holders unless I know it's from a reliable source. The vast majority of packs with the old silver flip are perfectly fine in my experience which includes personally cracking and opening nearly 200 packs. There are some notable exceptions however- - so called grocery cellos among them.
Sorry this happened to you. I have had mechanical errors happen on both GAI and PSA packs.

<< <i>yeah, i agree but how could 1 pack be gradable and 2 not be??? in the same sealed tray? >>
That is a bit odd. Personally, if I were grading I'd have rejected them all if all 3 packs came out of the same tray.

It took 5 months.
I really like their new rack holders, and they did grade me fair since I knew the source of the racks being from an unopened, sealed box. . .I got 9's.
But the delays are pretty unbelievable. And I did get attitude. . .

If only we had actual MODs who didn't just kill threads protecting certain high end PSA customers who could do an IP check.
I agree that this is him again.
I like it a lot, but it is frustrating waiting for months to see the finished product.
<< <i>That is one looooooooong sentence. >>
Reminds me of James Joyce.
