Need grading help!!!! Dan-Dee and Red Heart cards

What do you think these cards would grade. They are a couple oddball and condition sensitive cards. The dan-dee was inserted in patato chips and from my understanding the discoloration is from the chips and doesn't effect the grade, so what grade would you put on both of these cards? What do you think they may be worth and is it worth grading? Thanks for the help in advance!!!

  • I'm not familiar with the Dan-Dees, but if what you're saying is accurate, I'd say a 6 on the Dan-Dee and a 7.5 or 8 on the Red Heart. The Dan-Dee looks better from the front, but the reverse pic looks like it shows an unfortunate injury to the bottom left corner.

Dan-Dee appears to be a PSA 3 and and the Red Heart seems like a lock PSA 6 (outside shot at PSA 7). Hard to really say as the grading consistency on these issues is consistently inconsistent.
  • Thanks for the opinions, the Dan-Dees are tough to find and I think they are a little more leninent (I hope) in grading. The Dan-Dee looks better in person. What do you think these are worth? I paid $145.00 for the pair!
  • 2 Slaughter Red Hearts in VG condition are on ebay right now for $35 and $42.

1 in lower grade is $19.95.

Graded examples in higher grades are higher.

1 Dan Dee Schoendienst on ebay in VG is $60.

The Slaughter looks awfully wavy on the left and right edges... have you checked for evidence of trimming?

looks like they might have been rubber banded.

I think the wavy look is the scanner, as the image is also wavy in same place.

The 1954-70 Red Heart cards are far more common because they were available for over 16 years through the mail in offer. Out of all the cards Ive ever had that were slabbed, 2 of the worst (undergraded cards) Ive ever owned were razor sharp perfectly centered crease free NRMT+/MINT F156 cards that got a PSA-6 and PSA-5.... so I will not guess on the grade on this one..

The F342 DanDee card w/ stains like yours is common, Id say a 3
  • Thanks for the input everyone I really appreciate it. I really liked the cards and thought that if I could flip them and make a few bucks then i'd do so, but if not they are really neat cards and are great additions to my collection.
