My turn for an ebay seller complaint

Making my 1st ebay complaint. Looking on advise on what my next step should be. Here is what happened:

There was a Favre 1994 finest refractor listed. The pic didnt have a shine to it but i know sometimes a scanner/camera doesnt pick that up..here is what happened next:

(1st email sent before i placed a bid)

Hi I just got the card today. its not the refractor. It's the base card. The refractor is all shiny the regular version doesn't have a shine to it. Im going to send it back to you for refund.

No the refractors back then had a glossy look to them,I bought it from a card shop as a refractor.I do not accept returns,all sales are final

did you pay with paypal? just send it back with tracking and file the dispute with pp.

yes with paypal. i never did a dispute with them so would be a 1st. Should i write the guy back or just do the dispute and mail it back

nope stop talking with the guy and just file the dispute and do what pp says. Make sure you use/get proof of delivery and you should be all good.

Open a case threw ebay and send the card back with DC and you should be good. If this ever happens with a card over $250 that is NAD then make sure you get Signature when you return it or ebay will not issue a refund.

Open a SNAD (significantly not as described) claim through eBay. Follow their instructions to the letter and you will be fine.

Despite what some sellers think there is really no such thing as a no return policy.

The part that baffles me is that i didnt get a response like...."im very sorry that i was mistaken that this card was a refractor. Send back for a full refund. Sorry for inconvenience"

He might think you are trying to scam him...maybe he did buy it at a premium as a refractor and does not want to believe he got taken. This is one time the buyer friendly ebay rules work in your favor.

Please make sure to use delivery confirmation when sending it back. I have never lost anything that I sent with delivery confirmation, but I would say probably at least 1/3 of what I send without confirmation gets "lost".
