French Indo-China without date

I just found out and wonder why French Indo-China from 1930 to 1931 it does not has date, Check world coin book KM#15,16,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25.

does anyone know story behind it?

    All French Indo-China coins have date, unless they're pattern/ essai. What denomination are you referring to?

    Actually coins used for the 1944-1945 opium trade don't have date. They're 1 tael or 1/2 tael. Why no date? I think they were intended for China trade so the coins should be as similar to Chinese local currency as possible.

    i know it is kind of interest story, if you have 2013 world coin book check out page 845 or 2008 book page 839. in 1930 and 1931 the on some coin only show 1 or 19 and missing last 930 or 31 behind. do you have any interesting indo-china coin, if you do could you post it up so we all can see it.
