Paypal funds pending question...

I am sure this has been discussed and I missed it.......I haven't really sold much in the last mont on ebay. Now last week I sold a few items and just went to use my paypal funds to pay for some things I won. Paypal has put a hold on the funds for 21 days and states "While you establish a successful sales history on Ebay, in most cases, funds from Ebay sales are available in 21 days". I have been on Ebay for 10 years and have 6000 positive feedback...what do I do to meet their criteria of a "successful sales history on Ebay"??? Is this supposed to be for all ebay sellers or just new ones?

It's a relatively new rule - spring of 2011 IIRC. Once your DC kicks in and shows the package has arrived, the funds will generally free up. Once you get about 10 recent sales on your record, they will stop. Just another example of Ebay shafting a seller, this time by presupposing that you're a crook because you don't have a recent history.
While it was an annoyance for me when it happened, I can't imagine what it must have been like for untold numbers of people that found themselves in a real financial jam and went to Ebay to sell some items, only to find out the money wasn't avaailable in time to pay that pressing bill, etc.

When I needed extra cash, I too started selling again after a long break. Waiting for PayPal to release my funds was VERY irritating.
Good luck with your sales, as stated, once you complete the required transactions, you will be good to go.

The funds are marked as unavailable, so i don't think so. I'm 90% sure when I shipped the items at least part of the funds came directly from my bank account.
