Any idea how to get this off the back of this 1930's Card ?

Was glued into book in 1938 glue and paper remnant stuck to card.

That's a good point...if you have the book, test a piece of a page with the glue still attached. Water has a decent shot of doing the trick in many cases.
Soak a paper towel in water, squeeze it out, then lightly dab each spot until it become somewhat wet, trying not to soak the whole card. Then after a few minutes the glue/paper residue should become somewhat tacky. Then I would use dull tweezers or the edge of a spoon to slowly scrape it off as much as I could. Go slow and lightly at first (test) and dont over do it. This type of glue looks similar to many types Ive worked with and may come off all the way, or you may just have to stop after the paper residue is removed (making the letters underneath more readable)
You would be just going for eye appeal, I dont think you will get a bump in grade.
